Research Services

Your family history is unique. Your research should be, too.

Every family history begins with questions. My research services are designed to help you find the answers through careful, evidence-based genealogical research. From tracing ancestors and locating elusive records to breaking through long-standing brick walls, each project is tailored to your family, your questions, and your research goals.

Citizenship by

Descent Research

I document your ancestry for citizenship-by-descent applications, including Italian jure sanguinis and 1948 cases, as well as other citizenship pathways through lineage research, eligibility-focused research, document identification, and locating the civil and historical records needed to establish each generation.

U.S. Government &

Archival Records

I locate and request historical records from U.S. agencies and repositories, including USCIS, NARA, state and local archives, courts, and other government offices. This can include naturalization files, immigration records, census records, vital records, and supporting documentation needed for genealogy or citizenship cases.

Custom Research &

Brick Walls

Not every genealogy problem fits neatly into a package. If you’ve spent years looking for an ancestor, encountered conflicting records, reached a dead end, or simply don’t know where to search next, I can develop a research strategy specifically for your case.

International Record Retrieval

Need a record but don’t know where or how to find it? I locate and request birth, marriage, death, baptismal, naturalization, immigration, and other records held by archives, churches, municipalities, government agencies, abroad.

Family History Reports

Research is most useful when you can understand what was found and how it fits together. I organize the results of your research project into a clear, documented genealogy report explaining the evidence, sources, relationships, discoveries, and remaining questions in your family history.

Heritage Travel Planning

Turn your family history into a journey. I provide personalized research to help you discover the places connected to your ancestors and prepare for meaningful heritage travel. From identifying ancestral towns, homes, churches, cemeteries, and local archives to uncovering the stories of the people who lived there, I can help you understand your family's connection to a place before you arrive.

Transparent & Customized Pricing

Research

Begins at $35 per/hour: minimum booking of four research hours per project. This allows enough time to evaluate the available evidence, conduct meaningful research, and provide you with well-documented findings.

Record Requests

Begins at $25 per/request: pricing dependent on the type of record, repository, location, and complexity of obtaining it.

Because no two family histories or research questions are exactly alike, every project is individually evaluated. Final pricing will be determined following an initial consultation and will reflect the scope of your research goals, the complexity of the project, and the records or repositories involved.

You’ll receive a clear understanding of the proposed scope and cost before research begins, so you can choose the level of research that best fits your goals and budget.
